Ben Ten

I vaguely remember this cartoon...but it was the first thing I thought of when Ben turned 10 a few days ago.

Anyway,  Ben is now 10.  All my kids are double digits!  Brad kept teasing him that he'd be so excited about the gift we got him that he'd wet his pants.

When it came time to give it to him, we had him sit on the couch and close his eyes.

Then Brad handed him this...a stack of targets.  You can't really see the confusion on Ben's face, but he was clearly not excited enough to wet his pants!  Brad likes to tease.

That's better...a real BB gun!

Brad set up a target area and they went out to practice.

He's been very safety conscious and won't go out to shoot unless an adult is present.  We'll see how long that lasts!

It was Brad's mom's birthday the day before Ben's, so we had a family party to celebrate both.  Ashley made a delicious ice cream sandwich cake.  We thought Vikki was turning 61, and Ben is 10, so 610 seemed to make sense...except Vikki is really 63.  Oh well.

Ashley came up with a fun birthday game for Ben.  He had to catch candy in a bowl on his head as we all threw it at him.

Jane slam dunks!

  2. A gun?!?!?! What a lucky kid! And Jen, having ALL your kids in the double digits means you are getting slightly old. Not me, since my kids are so young, that makes me about 12 years younger than you if you really think about it! :)
