I've read a few really cute things that my friend's kids (Brooke & Michelle) have been saying recently, and I thought I'd better record some of Ben's before I forget.
The other day we were enjoying the sun at Faye Bainbridge park and talking about how happy we were that it was nice enough to be at the beach. Ben said, "I want to go to Foint Noint Noint." (translation: Point No Point, our favorite beach)
This evening, Kylie was singing a song she learned in her Spanish class. Here's Ben's version: "Mamasita, oh where is Santa Claus? I hope he won't forget to cross the neck and hit, and hear his reindeer say Oh Dixie! Ole! Ole! Ole!" Hmmm...I'm not really sure of the real lyrics, but I think it's something like "I hope he won't forget to click his castanets..."
Then a while later, he came upstairs coughing and gasping for breath. He told me that Kylie and Jillian had been smothering him with pillows. I got him a glass of water and told him to take a break from their playing. He went back downstairs and told his sisters, "Mom says I won't last a day."
I love that last one! It's gotta be tough being the youngest kid. He's lucky he's survived until Kindergarten. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't wait to have many trips to Foint Noint Noint with you guys this summer! That's just fun to say.
