Except on the second floor, the rules change. Brad was very hesitant to let me up on the roof, but said Kylie could go up because her dexterity is better than mine. Sad, but true! I don't think we'll have her paint the trim up there, though. Brad will have to do that.
She's not a bit afraid to be up there. I would probably take one step and fall off!
It's a long way up!
When the weather hasn't cooperated, we go under cover. Under the porches and breeze-way, that is.
This is our attempt at turning Matzo into a yellow lab! He is such a funny dog. He loves to hang out with Brad, even when he's getting paint all over himself.
We didn't labor as long as we wanted to on this Labor Day since the weather turned on us this afternoon. I'm hoping we get at least a few more decent days this summer so we don't have a 1/2 painted house all winter!
Those are great pictures! And I'm loving the color. Can't wait to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah for Kylie! She's such a great worker (although Jared gets annoyed with me when I compare her work ethic to his. But sometimes I just can't help myself.) :-)
Wow! The new color really brightens it up! It looks awesome even though you aren't finished yet. Can't wait to see it in person! With the gloomy fall and winter ahead of us, yellow is the perfect house color to brighten you day.
ReplyDeleteI love the color! I'm draw towards yellow as well...happy color...
ReplyDeletesigh. that house of yours...SOOOO beautiful. you're trying to tell me you actually have to WORK to maintain it? like, HARD WORK?! just looking at the pictures makes me tired. :)
ReplyDeleteThe color looks fantastic with the hydrangeas...great choice.
ReplyDeleteIt takes Craig and I weeks and weeks to choose a paint color for ONE wall. I can't even imagine how long we'd take to choose a color for the entire exterior of our house! (Good thing we live in a brick house, so it's not really an option!)
ReplyDeleteI love the names of paint colors, though. In my next life, I want to be the person who comes up with all those names. Aren't they just so happy sounding?
And the house looks great, by the way! Keep up the great work!
