Ben was playing with a baby doll this morning.
No, I'm not worried that he was playing with a doll.
I'm worried about HOW he was playing with it.
If he was rocking it, singing to it, feeding it, dressing it or playing house with it, I would not be worried.
He was throwing it up in the air and letting it smack on the ground, throwing it at the wall, swinging it by it's feet and hitting it on the piano, then yelling "Shake it off!" everytime the doll got "hurt".
So I ask, should I be worried? Is he lacking in the sentivity department? Is he going to grow up to be abusive? Or is he just being a little boy?
Hmmm . . . you feed your kids off the floor, your daughter sleeps outside in the snow, your youngest is abusing helpless dolls . . . It may be time for some intervention. :-)
ReplyDeleteKidding! You have the coolest family EVER. Here's what I love about the Van Akens - every child is free to be himself/herself. Your kids are simply awesome. Let's chalk that up to great parenting.
Hmmm, I think he need to hang out with Hyrum more. He'll show him how to play with the doll the nice way. He might even teach him how to breastfeed!
